Frank C. Doble, who earned a degree in electrical engineering from Tufts in 1911 and founded Doble Engineering Company in 1920, passed away in 1969. Engineers Earn Top Tufts Teaching Awards
Three members of the School of Engineering faculty have been selected to receive annual teaching and advising awards. Diane Souvaine, (right) professor and chair of Computer Science, is the recipient of the 2008 Lillian and Joseph Leibner Award for distinguished teaching and advising; Professor Emeritus in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Lin Brown, has received the 2007-08 Seymour O. Simches Award in recognition of a lifetime of outstanding teaching and advising; and graduating seniors have voted Brian Brenner, civil engineering Professor of the Practice, as winner of the Henry and Madeline Fischer Award.
